Williams Hopes Dashed at the Start in Brazil September 25, 2005 - Things started out badly for Williams at the Grand Prix in Brazil. Both of their cars were involved in an accident right at the start of the race. This accident put Antonio Pizzonia out of the race completely. His team mate Mark Webber however was forced into the pits for repairs. These repairs cost him 25 laps. The accident was caused by David Coulthard, while he was trying to slip between Pizzonia and Webber he accidentally clipped Pizzonia causing him to spin out of control into Webber. Pizzonia commented on the race by saying,” I am very surprised that he [David Coulthard] did this because he has many many Grand Prix’ under his beld and is not someone who usually makes such mistakes.” |
